It is the fourth Sunday of Lent. Today, we are in the wilderness with the congregation of Israel, on the way to the Promised Land. The journey, however, is long and difficult. Along the way we have poisonous experiences that hurt and traumatize us. They prevent us from looking up and seeing the signs of new life among us. How can going through agony, discomfort, and grief in life be the path to deep healing? How can we look up and experience the deep healing God desires for all of us?
