Today is part two of our worship series on stories of faith. Part of our vocation as Christians is to tell God’s story. Telling stories is one of the most powerful ways of influencing, teaching, and inspiring others. Stories help us learn. Stories forge connections among people, and between people and ideas. Stories convey the culture, history, and values that unite people. In our scripture reading we will hear a little later, we find Moses minding his own business when God arrives unexpectedly with a story to share. Moses isn’t impressed and offers up several excuses for why he can’t share God’s story with Pharaoh. Do any of them ring true for you and me?
